Yes… believe it or not… another post! Mind you I’m typing it wrapped up in a blanket with Lucy serving as my heating blanket…but it’s still a long overdue post! That must count for something?

As I mentioned above, this project is long overdue. I had seen a lot of signs similar to these on pinterest and thought they would look really cool above the sliding doors in the kitchen.
I “designed” the patterns ages ago, maybe even before Christmas to fit on some fence board pieces I asked Chris to cut down for me. Fence boards are an inexpensive way to make signs.

I painted the boards in colours today match our decor and then just had to actually take the time (while being so sick) to cut the vinyl. I thought it might distract me from the fact I can barely breathe 🙄.
Once fully dried (I let them dry for a couple of days… mostly because even painting them is exerting myself right now 🤨.
Then I applied the vinyl! That was the fun part! Well, the fun part once I got it lined up!

I added sawtooth hangers to the back, used my level and some painter’s tape (to mark the center of the sawtooth hanger) to mark where the nails needed to be and then hung the signs above the sliding doors as planned!
I am pretty happy with how they turned out and how they look in that spot. I just can’t decide if I want to sand/age the edges like I did with the bathroom sign I made !
