“Monogram” Button Art

Today’s Button Art project is an Initial.  I chose the letter “L” because that is the first letter of our Surname.  I did this project in buttons but I also snuck in a few “rhinestones” to bling it up a bit!

Clay Pot Bird Bath

Carrying on with our Clay Pot themed week, today I made a clay pot bird bath.  Again, all this required were some clay pots from the dollar store and some paint!

These can be made as elaborate or as simple as you want them to be, and again, clay pot crafts are great kid crafts!

Hershey Kisses Roses

It was years ago the first time I made these.  I honestly can’t even remember where I saw them the first time but I loved them.  Chocolate and Roses in one?  How much better can you get than this?  AND it is so easy to do!  It would be a great craft for kids to make for Mother’s Day and no tools necessary, not even the glue gun!  (Please excuse the ugly burn on my thumb in some of the pictures!  When I was making the pinecone topiary the glue gun decided it wanted to fight dirty…. and it won!)

Earth Day Project #2

As the title says lol, here is my 2nd Earth Day project.  This time I made “Earth Day Cookies” that I found here http://blog.beau-coup.com/fun-earth-day-crafts-activities-for-kids-and-adults.

It said quick and easy so I was game considering my time restraints, and they turned out really well, albeit a little too brown around the edges because I forgot I was doing laundry and in turn, also forgot to set the timer on the oven when I was downstairs folding laundry (embarrassed face)!

These are really cute, a great project to do with the kids, and even though I used the “fake cookies” method as I call it on those rare occasions when I don’t make them from scratch, they are very tasty!
