Clay Pot Dog Ornament

Yes…. another Clay Pot project lol!  This one is small, but cute.  I found them on Pinterest, of course, here: /www.facebook.com/ILoveDachshundsDogs/

I thought it was the cutest thing and of course had to try at least one!  I really do think we are going to have to do another whole week, at least, in future about Clay Pot crafts.  There are so many wonderful ideas circulating out there!  Look out Dollar Store…. I’ll be back to raid your clay pot section in the near future lol!

This was a very easy craft to make, other than another round with glue, that I unfortunately lost again…. my crazy glue tube apparently had a pin hole in it and I ended up gluing my fingers to the tube and had to “pry” it off.  I am still picking pieces of dried crazy glue, and yes, skin, off of my fingers 😦 )

Clay Pot Lantern

Here is the project for Day #4 of our Clay Pot crafts themed week.

I had an extra pot from the other crafts and was trying to think of something to do with it.  Then I remembered the little candle holder I bought at the dollar store and the light bulb went off lol,  dimly, but it did go off!

As with the others, I started out by base painting the pots and applying a few coats of Plaid Glass and Tile Medium to the candle holder.
I decided to go with turquoise just because I haven’t done anything in that colour for the garden yet!

I  sort of had an idea about what I wanted to paint on these,  and it sort of worked out.  Either way, it will still add colour to the garden lol.

Now all I needed to do was seal it and then it was done too! Another garden ornament to disguise my lack of flowers!

Here are pictures with and without the candle lit.

I just bought this set from Amazon.ca and the colours were great and the paint went on wonderfully!
