Review – Grocery Store (Loblaws)Freebie – Beef & Spinach Lasagna

I am sure I have mentioned before that I shop at a store that offers “Click and Collect” grocery shopping. It has been a huge help on my TBI recovery because it means I do not have to actually go into the grocery store. You order what you need online, they shop (with your instructions on how you want your fruit or whatever) and then bring it out to your vehicle in designated parking spots. It is an awesome service!

Last week when we were picking up our groceries we were given a freebie. We quite often get items free as samples but this time it was a store assembled full dinner.

It included everything needed (including the pan) to make a Beef & Spinach Lasagna!

It came with detailed instructions, laminated even, to show you how to make it… which is great because it could be used as a “recipe” to follow at a later date!

It took about 20 minutes to assemble and then a bit in the oven and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

While it is awesome to get a freebie, it is even better when it is this good… so Thank You Loblaws!

Angry Mama – Microwave Cleaner

Have you seen what is called “Angry Mama,” to help clean the microwave? I got one a while back and decided to do a post about it. I loved how easy it made it to just wipe away the crud afterwards!

Please excuse how dirty my microwave looks in the before pictures… Dillon decided to heat up a bowl of ravioli without anything covering it!!!

My Singer Knitting Machine!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

I took Boxing day off as an “On Strike” day, the same as I always do. I did nothing but sleep, read and feed Chris and Dillon leftovers lol.

Today however, I was playing with the Singer Knitting Machine that Chris got me  (because of a rather large hint) for Christmas.  I am having so much fun!

This is what it looks like out of the package, it even came with a couple of skeins of yarn to get started!

The first thing I made was a cute little baby hat! It took me about 15 minutes! 15 minutes!!!

And then I made a pair of socks.  If you have ever knit socks before you know how time consuming it can be.  I made this pair in a half hour! Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas next year lol?

I anticipate having a whole lot of fun with my new “toy!”

P.S. I also got a combination grinder/pasta maker/sausage stuffer, so stay tuned for recipes and ideas when I start “playing” with it!!!

Repurposed Décor – Elephants

In one of my auction bundles, I think the one where I won the keyboard for Kim, a pair of ceramic elephants were included.  While they were really, really awful, they were pretty awful lol. I set them aside with no clue really what I was going to do with them…. until last week!

I will include my review of this paint product at the end of this post!

Spiral Cut Baked Potatoes

Chris was cleaning out the “middle” garage to make room for something or other and he found my old Starfrit appetizer maker.  I haven’t seen that in years, likely since we moved up here 10 years ago! With the recent “craze” for spiralized vegetables I thought I would give it a go! While the actual process with the two pieces from the set were a royal pain in the backside to use (I have seen it done with just a knife and a skewer which looked a whole lot easier,) the outcome wasn’t terrible lol. Just frustrating.

Cute Dill Pickle “Kit” Review

I know, weird title, but I saw the cutest thing tonight!  Chris took me out for dinner and we stopped at Loblaw’s for a couple of things. I saw this “Dill it Yourself” kit, for lack of a better word, in the produce section and I just had to buy it and try it lol!
