Whiskey Parmesan Burgers

I know it’s an awful thing to say lol, but I am going to blame my baby granddaughter for my lack of a post yesterday! Kim, hubby and my grandbaby came up on Sunday…. very early.  Chris decided he was going to take Dillon and Codey out on the boat fishing for the day, so we sent them off with a packed lunch, lots to drink, sunscreen and worms.  They had a nice day fishing although from the stories, only Codey caught anything.  That gave me a chance for a girls day with Kim and my granddaughter. While I didn’t get much accomplished, it was worth it to be able to enjoy my “baby” and my grandbaby for the day!  Thanks Kim lol… especially since I fell asleep on her mid-conversation!

I wasn’t sure if they would be staying for dinner that night or not so I prepared some Whiskey Parmesan burgers.  They did not end up staying so I not only got a meal for Chris and Dillon out of the batch that night, I was also able to freeze enough for another meal!



Here are the ingredients I used to make them. As you can see in the picture below, I really doesn’t take much to make a batch of delicious burgers!


I placed the ground beef in a large bowl with the parmesan, garlic powder, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and whiskey…. and mixed until it was fully combined.


I shaped the meat mixture into evenly sized balls….. don’t ask me how I ended up with an odd number… I have no clue… maybe the tiredness was already starting to set in???


And then put the balls through my hamburger press until all the burgers were formed.


I partially froze the burgers before we cooked them (I find they cook and stay together better if at least partially frozen first)  on the grill on medium high heat for about 10 minutes per side until fully cooked.


And then we served them up with Burger sauce and diced red onions with a side salad!  They disappeared quickly!



Whiskey Parmesan Burgers

Preparation Time: 15 minutes  Grilling Time: 20 – 30 minutes  Servings: 8 – 9 burgers


  • 2 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 3 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup shredded parmesan
  • 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tbsp. whiskey
  • 1 tsp. ground pepper
  • hamburger buns


  1. Place ground beef in a large bowl with parmesan, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, whiskey and ground pepper.
  2. Mix by hand until fully combined.
  3. Divide beef mixture into even portions and shape into balls.
  4. Using a burger press, form balls into burgers.
  5. Grill on medium high heat for about 10 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  6. Top with your favourite burgers sauce and toppings.
